Bianca Rae is the morning news anchor for KESQ News Channel 3, the #1 rated morning newscast in the Coachella Valley. Bianca has reported on everything from breaking news to local and national news stories, community events and live from the red carpet for entertainment stories. The live coverage of the September 2014 flood that devastated parts of the Coachella Valley garnered Bianca her an Emmy nomination. Bianca covers stories that matter and make a difference.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Missouri, Bianca received a dual degree in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish as well as a minor in Sociology. She is a bilingual journalist who anchored and reported for KOMU-8, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri for three years. She also interned at KTLA, E! Entertainment and Fox Sports in Los Angeles.
Bianca was awarded the 416th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars for her humanitarian work in the Coachella Valley and entire Inland Empire. Bianca was chosen as one of Palm Springs Life’s ’40 Under 40′ most successful people in the Coachella Valley in 2014. CV Weekly named her one of 2016’s Top 12 Most Interesting and Influential Women of the Coachella Valley. She was also voted Best TV Personality in Palm Springs three times, by CV Weekly and by Coachella Valley Independent.
At just 25 years old, Bianca founded the Bianca Rae Foundation, to be a voice for the voiceless. The foundation is divided into two separate sections; one being a concentration on providing guidance and leadership to Coachella Valley youth and the second being a resource for homeless animals throughout the desert communities.
Bianca is currently a member of the Palm Springs Women in Film and Television, Media Mavens, and Companions Visitation Ministry of Sacred Heart Church.
